Take my Hand not my Life Symposium – Come and spend a morning with Dr. Gianna Emanuela Molla (the daughter of St. Gianna) and local guests including Mother Maria Francis, LSP, Michael Degnan, Susan Windley-Daoust, and Dr. Tod Worner as they share their perspectives on living moments of grace at life’s end. Now, more than ever, Minnesotans need to be aware of the gospel approach to loving and caring for someone with a serious or terminal illness and understand what our faith demands versus what the culture tells us.

This Symposium is a fundraiser for the holy places where St. Gianna lived and died with her family in Magenta, Italy. The restoration project will restore the spousal home of St. Gianna and her husband Pietro; the chapel of Our Lady of Good Counsel; and the buildings adjacent to these properties for a “St. Gianna Beretta Molla International Center” of prayer, study and spirituality which will welcome pilgrims and be of service to the Universal Church.

Symposium Keynote Speaker

DR. GIANNA EMANUELA MOLLA

Dr. Gianna Emanuela Molla is the daughter of our dear St. Gianna who our organization is named in honor of. Dr. Gianna practiced as a Geriatrician at the Geriatric Institute “Camilo Gulgi” in Abbiategrasso, Milan. In 2003, she left her profession to care for her father, Pietro, who has serious health problems until he died on April 3, 2010 at the age of almost 98. Since her father passed away she has dedicated her life to spreading the joy of her saint Mother’s life and I heard her say that it took her many years to understand God’s will for her mother. But now she recognizes that the Lord, in His infinite wisdom, “thought Mama could do a lot of good, not only for the family, but all around the world. I am a direct testimony of all the good her decision to save my life has caused. And I thank my saint Mom and beloved Dad for this gift of life.” Dr Gianna Emanuela will be sharing with us from her professional and personal experience the Unexpected Joy to be Found in Caring for Another.

Additional Speakers
