This year, Gianna Homes will be tackling the issue of brain injury, especially those related to concussions, at our upcoming fundraising even – The Risks of the Game Gala on Friday, November 4 at the U.S. Bank Vikings stadium. We have partnered with the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance and former Minnesota Wild guard Jordan Leopold, to shed light on this important issue.

The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance promotes healing through the arts with a project called “Unmasking Brain Injury in Minnesota.” Survivors of brain injury are invited to create masks to share their story. Our residents will have the opportunity to create their own masks at Gianna Homes this summer alongside their families, our staff, and Jordan Leopold’s friend Nicholas, a young man coping with brain injury. We are eager to see how they will be inspired to share their journeys of brain injury and dementia with us!
